Frequently Asked Questions

All dogs must go through a 1.5 hour evaluation before checking in. This is to evaluate if your pup and you are comfortable with the facility.

Additionally, 2 daycares and 1 trial boarding session(s) will be requested to gradually ease your pup into the facility. The team will be able to give a better sensing on whether your pup will have a great time at the centre or if more time may be needed.

Evaluation bookings can be done here.

Being away from familiar loved ones can be stressful. We try our best to set your pup up for a comfortable time away from home.

The onboarding process requires an evaluation, followed by 2 daycares and a trial boarding to reduce fear, anxiety and stress in your pups. Generally by the 2nd daycare/trial boarding session, the team will be able to give a better sensing on whether your pup will have a great time at the centre or if more time may be needed.

If time may be a little too short, or you are uncomfortable with this arrangement, do consider alternative arrangements until there is a little more time to gradually ease your pup into the facility.

Step 1: Pls ensure your pup has:

  • Up to date vaccinations
  • Up to date flea and tick treatment
  • Vaccination against Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC) a.k.a. Kennel Cough is not mandatory but is highly recommended in social settings. We also recommend getting vaccinated if your dog is a senior or young pup that may be vulnerable to infectious diseases.

Step 2: Pls book an evaluation here!

Step 3: Prepare for evaluation!

  • We’ll provide a form so you can provide details (Pup’s temperament, feed requirements, medication, habits, allergies etc) you’d like us to note.

Step 4: Get ready for some fun with 1 – 2 daycare and/or 1 trial boarding session(s) prior to boarding.

  • Up to date vaccination card
  • Plenty of high value treats (i.e. treats that your dog loves even when surrounded with a lot of fun!)
  • Secure harness/collar and leash. Double up your collar with a harness if your pup is skittish in new environments!
  • If you have a shy pup, we recommend bringing a piece of clothing that smells like you to ease the transition!

All dogs, especially puppies and seniors must have updated core vaccinations. Alternatively, a titre test from an accredited vet will be accepted as well.

Vaccination against Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC) a.k.a. Kennel Cough is mandatory as to safeguard your pup in a social setting.

Basic tick and flea, heartworm coverage must be in place as well.

  • Bring your pups favourite food for breakfast and dinner!
  • Treats  for training and chews
  • *Medication if you require us to administer, charges apply.
  • We generally don’t encourage toys or beds but feel free to include those if you’d like
  • If you have an anxious pup, we encourage a shirt/ piece of clothing with your scent.

Pls book minimally 3 days in advance.

Self check-in is after 8am. Self check-out is between 8am and 12pm the next day.

  • Early check-in from 730am is chargeable at $15.
  • Late check out from 12 – 2pm: $15/hr.
  • After 2pm: Daycare rates apply

Please let us know in advance.

*We are closed from 1pm – 3pm for nap time!

Booking slots are limited and are carefully scheduled to take into account your pups temperament, behaviour and size.

Cancellations can be made up to 3 days in advance so the slots can be release to other pups!

Updates will be on Instagram stories twice a day! Look out for them on https://www.instagram.com/tailsup.sg in the mornings and the afternoons.

If your pup requires a list of husbandry/medication routines to be managed ( E.g. Topical medication, daily brushing), a charge of 10% or more is applicable. Please do inform the team at booking for preparations to be made.

A female pups’ menses can last from 2 – 4 weeks. We generally request an additional 2 weeks hiatus after the end of her menses before returning to a social setting.

Pups in heat may exhibit sensitivities and changes in behaviour. Her fur-riends may also exhibit behaviours that are heavily influenced by hormones. It is hence highly recommended to find a boarder that has no dogs or females that are comfortable around menstruating dogs.

If boarding fees have already been paid, the amount will be refunded in full.

Thank you for keeping your pup and her fur-riends safe!
