Your dog has boundless energy, maybe its raining or you’re leaving your pup home alone. We’ve put together a list of great home made toys to ‘edutain’ your pup.
Gentle reminder, always make sure you’re sure your pup wont eat anything he’s not supposed to before leaving him alone with toys.
#1 Simplicity
This ones simple but a tad bit messy. Trains your dog to work that nose, locating and figuring out how to get the treats. Wrap treats in different layers of paper, cardboard or cloth and place them around the house. Think hide & seek for a dog when you’re not home!
Level up: Place treats in paper boxes/ containers. Increase the number of layers to up the difficulty. *Don’t use plastic bags to prevent chocking.
#2 Interactive Toys
These are great! Minimal mess, and they can be reused. We love the Kong Gyro best.
#3 Treat Toys
Popular with most owners, however these can be messy. The most popular brand is the Kong, though there are many brands that do the same at a lower price so you can stretch your buck. We recommend Licki Mats, or even simply a different sizes of small cups.
